Is e-learning guiding us to the righteous?

The sphere of knowledge has always been meant for volumetric enhancement. Education is an act of imparting the ability of increasing our sphere for an entire lifetime. The modes of providing education have been developing with time. The same is moving from earlier paper based learning to e-learning. Now days, knowing the meaning of a jargon or technicality mean a run for search engines. Just type it & get it is the latest concept! Looking at one side of the coin, learning things have become straightforward and so simple. But, flapping on the other side, isn’t it cutting short our path of learning to a great extent such that we are skipping the many things we used to grab while on the way to get hold of the ultimate one.

The education at school & university levels is becoming technical and far more dependent on online sources/ resources. The information obtained is informative, absolute, and correct. The practical output and applications are also available. But, by following it aren’t we losing on the actual practicality? The manuals, assignments, submissions are to be viewed on e-media and submitted by the same. The face to face interaction between the preceptor and the acceptor is becoming negligible. The virtual resources helps learning about varied aspects, topics and disciplines but is restricted in terms of conveying the capability of analyzing, practicability, interpretations of knowledge acquired. The ready and apparent availability of all the information renders an individual especially student’s workings being effortless and therefore unproductive resulting in lack of the motives with which the task was provided to them to complete. The e-submissions modus offers an opportunity to escape from self efforts and toil.

E- Resources are undoubtedly a wonderful source for learning from an enhanced pool of knowledge but no substitute for classroom learning and interaction with faculties.
